The Level 3 Forest School training is designed for individuals who wish to lead their own Forest School programmes. This course equips participants with the skills and knowledge required to create and manage a safe, engaging, and educational outdoor learning environment for children and adults.

Course Structure:

• Duration: Approximately 180 hours of study, including:

-10 days of in-person training

– Self-directed study

– A coursework portfolio

– Leading a 6-week Forest School pilot programme

• Delivery Format:

– Training takes place in natural woodland settings to ensure an immersive experience.

– Small class sizes (max 12 participants) allow for personalised instruction and practical application.

– Support is available via phone, email, or video calls for assignments and skill-building.

Curriculum Topics:

The course covers a mix of theoretical and practical subjects, including:

• Principles & Ethos of Forest School

• Child Development & Learning Theories

• Risk Management & Safety Procedures

Entry Requirements:

• Age: 21+

• Experience: Previous work with children is recommended and outdoor experience.
