At Coast and Forest Education, we believe in the transformative power of physicality in the great outdoors, where every tree, rock, and stream becomes a part of our learning landscape.
Here, children engage their bodies and minds through playful exploration and hands-on activities that stimulate curiosity and foster resilience. Climbing, balancing, and running through the natural world not only enhance physical skills but also nurture essential social connections, encouraging teamwork and problem-solving in an unstructured environment.
Each experience is a stepping stone towards building confidence, as children discover their strengths and capabilities amid the wonders of the forest and coastline.
We use a number of simple knots and hitches to construct ladders, swings and the installation of hammocks and slacklines to enhance these spaces where maybe natural spaces and affordances are not available.
On our CPD sessions learn how construct these structures, how to increase the physical opportunities and affordances even with tool use, consider the risk benefit of getting participants off the floor and discuss the developmental benefits of wide ranging physical activities.
We have number of CPD session already booked in this year check out the opportunities here
