About Coast & Forest Education

Adrian Goodhand, the principle tutor with Coast and Forest Education has over twenty years of experience. This has included; working and volunteering in conservation for a number of national organisations. Leading and tutoring education across many habitats and locations. Experience ranges from habitat and invertebrate surveys across the whole of the UK, to conservation tasks organising teams and workloads. He is a qualified Forest School practitioner and  trainer. Over the past he has assisted a number of Wildlife Trusts with delivering all three levels of the qualification and is now runing training through Coast and Forest Education.

Outside of environmental education and Forest School Adrian is a qualified First Aid trainer, a qualified level two Aquatic Teacher both ASA and STA. Additionally Pool Lifeguard Trainer and Assessor for STA working locally across the south coast. 

During recent months Adrian has also widened his remit and undertaken Internal Qualification Assessor qualifications and now acts as an IQA for aquatic qualifications and Forest School.

In previous roles Adrian has been a lifeguard trainer and assessor for the RLSS. A Bikeability and National Standards Cycle Instructor alongside  and off road, a CTC Trail and Advanced MTB Trail leader.
